Well new to me anyway, just got a great deal on a used ETX-60BB and I'm very excited! I already love this little scope and can't wait to get it out. Unfortunately, as is the case, nothing but clouds and rain here. Oh well. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the backpack is also a perfect fit for my ETX-90. Size wise, both the 60 and the 90 are pretty similar. I think the 60 is just a bit lighter.
Not much to really add or say...just excited about my new baby and had to talk about it somewhere! (my wife will kill me if I mention one more word about telescopes!).

Neat! I love my little ETX-60BB, it make a great little grab'n go scope. One thing you might note is that you may have to rack the focus in to get it to fit into the backpack. I was really pleased at the quality of the whole system including the backpack itself.
Have fun!

Mine is one of the grey tubed models, with a grey backpack. Would have preferred the blue but oh well. The funny thing is that according to the sticker on the base, this scope is a maksutov cassegrain. I always thought these were short focal length refractors, but nope, Meade has put a sticker on there claiming this is a mak!
Still cloudy outside. I'm already thinking of upgrading it to an 80mm lens, as I saw on another thread here. Maybe I should just use it as is first!

Use it as is first, these are fantastic little scopes that often get overlooked because of their size. We snatched a couple up when W.Mart cleared them out a couple of Xmas ago. Having bought one on clearance, then using it, made me realize just how overlooked these little jewels are.
