Eyepiece verison match for binoviewing
      #3408144 - 10/24/09 01:04 PM

Hi, new to CN.

I have a UO 24mm Konig-II and have been looking for a match for my Denkmeier binoviewer. The "-II" version seems to be quite rare as all the used market turns up is the standard “Konig" version. I have read that sometimes even different versions of the eyepiece can cause issues. Can anyone shed any light on the differences between the -II Konig versions vs. the non -II? The physically look the same, ie, the volcano top version.

The seller is willing to offer money back so I could just purchase it and test it out. If it doesn't work, the penalty is just the cost of shipping.

Thanks,

Rick

I agree that you want to know the answer for binoviewer use, but I suggest the best place to get an answer would be the eyepiece forum. There is so much more discussion of various models eyepieces in that forum.

Edz,
Thanks, a good thought. I just posted on the EP forum. BTW, I grew up in Portsmouth, RI and used to be long to Skyscrapers astro club. Are they still around?

Rick
