The North America Nebula and Gamma Cygni Region captured with the 200MM F/4 SMC TAKUMAR. This was captured with the lens wide open and 50 minutes exposure on Kodak E200 transparency film processed normal E-6, no push processing.

Thanks guys. The lens works great and I am happy with it wide open. I want to shoot more with this lens. This one is on permanent loan from Igor. Now that I'm shooting with it and seeing the results I think Igor wants his lens back!

50 minutes at f/4 looks like a great exposure setting. THe veil looks well defined, and the Pelican looks great too!

Of course I want it back. I'll trade you my newer version for the older one?
Just kidding. Keep shooting with it Jim and use it till the cows come home. At least one of us is getting some frames in - and doing a great job as well. Jim and I have been discussing the possible advantages of not pushing the film, but exposing longer to get a smoother less "crunchy" frame.
