Theres a 60mm Tasco 1200mm focal length objective nearly complete instrument available on the bay-even has the box!The objective has some baby clams around the edge but still seems to be useable.Anybody familiar with this Tasco scope or have this one in your collection? To see it, type 'vintage Tasco Telescope' in the search field!!G

That isn't a 1200mm Tasco. I don't believe Tasco ever made one of that focal length. It is a 910mm fl model 7TE. That one is very old. If it has the original eyepieces they would be a 25mm, and a 9mm contained in it, as well as the 2X barlow to give the magnifications listed on the box.

I e-mailed the seller earlier and just received an e-mail back from them, i asked him if i could meet him halfway if i won the scope. He agreed to the meeting. It is an interesting scope kind of looks like and Astro build (mount and look at the focuser knobs)instead of circle T but i could be wrong(someone correct me if i am). I was going to make a decent bid because i could save on shipping but i would hate to raise the price too high for a person that really wants it. So i will not bid, besides i swore off any new purchases of 60mm's anyway. Unless they end in -eiss Good luck!

I think my 60mm 7TE was an Astro Optical, but I'm not positive. I gave it to my brother-in-law, and he wouldn't know what to look for if I called him. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Towa, just too similar to Astro Optical.

I am sorry but does someone have a link to this. I don't see anything but the 900mm with the white slo-mo knobs.

Hi James, Hey, that is the one with the porcelain knobs. I posted above that I thought it was similar to the 910mm which I used to have. It doesn't say in the ad which fl it is, but the 910mm focal length works out for the magnification shown on the wood box, figuring a 25mm and 9mm lens that would have been included. Anyway, I think Barbarino may have mistaken that one for a 1200mm, because he mentions in his posting, the clamshell chips, which that one has. BTW, I checked with Fed Ex and your eyepiece case will be arriving on Wednesday. I hope customs doesn't tear it up too much. I taped the key for the lock in a bag, onto the bubble wrap just so you know. Rich
