Way north! I used to have access to a weekend dark site near Oneonta, but was too far away and too much work to maintain.

Nice! I used to have the same setup, with my UA mount atop a G11 tripod. I still don't remember why I sold my MN66.

I managed to sneak this cat past my landlord 
A late (1995) Ultima 8 PEC,
recently upgraded with NGC Sky Vector DSCs.
Piggybacked Fujifilm 100fs Digital camera.
Now all I need to do is get my mount steady with these earthquakes we're having in Oklahoma

This is my vintage Bausch & Lomb 8001 8 inch SCT. They are quite rare and were only built for a year or two. These were known for excellent optics and this one is no exception. It was a genuine B&L effort built in a new B&L optical facility unlike the previous B&L Criterion 8000/ Dynamax which was built at the old Criterion plant. The 8001 was a total B&L redesign of the old Criterion 8000/ Dynamax. Among other things it has a heavy thick seamless alloy OTA and more consistent optical quality than the original Criterion units.
