Nice scope! Hows the AVX handle it?

Hi

My super 16" f20 Cassegrain,

Toni

Nice scope Toni, but the tripod seems better suited for a C8.
How does it perform on the tripod?
What is the lowest power you can use with an F-20 system?

Steve

Thank you Steve,

The tripod is the same use in the CPC 11 HD, there is not problem with it at all, but the fork mount.., it is a little bit shacking, now I have a Titan mount for my cassegrain
As for the lowest power, I use with this 16" F20 Cassegrain 145.5 X I using a Televue 55 plössl, it works quite well, but I like the Panoptic 35 (228.5 x) so much that I am thinking to buy a panotic 41 (195x).

WOW !!! Very nice double set up !!! I want to ask you, how easy is to find a guide star with the not moving off axis guider and the Lodestar on the C11 ? I am considering for this image train , I have a MC180 f/15 and I am struggling to guide with a celestron radial guider and a qhy5...

Very nice set-up. How do you like the POD slit? Does it add more light/wind protection?

Mewlon-210 on Vixen SXD new [Re: Starman27]
      #5723466 - 03/10/13 07:34 AM Attachment (70 downloads)

My Mewlon-210 has arrived today.
Had a quick first light on the Vixen SXD mount with its brother FS-60Q side by side. Too breezy and hazy to see the real quality of the optics, but at least some starlight.

best regards
Chris

I picked this setup for my daughter. It is a C90 on a tripod. She has a handicap and couldn't really use the 60mm Sears setup I got her. It was just to heavy for her to move around. The scope comes in a small backpack and same with the tripod. A much smaller package for her. The scope works so well I might juat have to find one for myself as a grab and go!!

This is my first scope, and thanks to several CN members, I was able to clean it up and it works awesome.

My appropriately accessorized 10" LX-200 'Classic'.

My kids are shown here working on a project for the younger ones 6th grade science class. I set the scope, they completely operate it.

Cheers!

Craig
