Well this is an interesting thread...

Sorry but I don't have a Cat to show you all (not even a feline version) but I am looking at getting a Celestron 925 in the new year, hence my interest in this thread.

I think my favourite just in the looks department is from ccibo (page 4) - I love the moody black finish.

Which model Cat is that ccibo and what's the mount please...?

Thanks to you all for sharing.

I love those old Celestron Orange cats.
They just scream classic scope, and they remind me of a simpler time.

Steve

W_Orchid - what a fine collection of old and new!!! I love the Orange and the Carbon Fiber... now, only if Celestron would come out with an Orange Carbon Fiber scope all would be well Happy Holidays.

One of my babies! This is my Meade LX3 8" SCT. I'm still looking for a hand controller but what I have is mint including the optics. It's an old timer but I really enjoy using this telescope!

Well, might as well add mine in too... Shown is a de-forked Celestron C8_Plus on a Losmandy GM8 mount. Piggybacked, a WO ZS66SD refractor with an Orion SSAG hooked to it. A Canon EOS 300D is hooked to the C8.
The photo was taken about a year ago. Now have a Canon 1000D and built a tray under the tripod for my laptop.

Cheers!
Ed

I don't think I've seen one of these on this thread yet. How about a cheap Cat? A ubiquitous wedgepod Celestar 8, purchased off craigslist for embarrassingly little money. Essentially unused by the previous owner, it joins <gulp> twenty-one other telescopes in the stable ...

Mugsy:
What device are you using to hold your hand controller onto the mount?

Thanks, Don
