Just found this online.
If you're in or near Racine Wisconsin Galileoscope can be found at DP Wigley.
The first store where you can walk in and buy one.

Hey Richard,

The Galileoscope has been sold in the Bays Mountain Park Gift Shop (Kingsport, TN) for at least 3 1/2 months now. Does this pre-date DP Quigley? Just curious.

Now that's interesting.
I was looking at just the article dated Oct. 13 and figured that was all.
Thank's for the update.

I ordered #37363 on Oct 17, shipping to France. Until seeing this thread today I didn't know there were huge delays.

The Oct 8 update says "Still more inventory will arrive in Wisconsin late next week. Some of this will be shipped to our European distribution center in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will arrive there by early November. At that point orders numbered higher than 24941 and destined for addresses outside the U.S. will be shipped, with Galileoscopes arriving in customers' hands by the end of November."

Hopefully it arrives ASAP since I won't even be in France after mid December.

My Order number is 37253, but since I live in the Pacific Northwest and it has started raining...our next clear night will likely be in June!

I have contacted the local customs in my country, contacted the post office and nothing, my order was placed over 6 months ago and the Galileoscope website says it should have been shipped by now! and it was a purchase not donation, I have made sure of that! Either send me my Galileoscope or give me a refund !!!!! It was my only dream to have a telescope (telescopes are not sold in my country!!) and you have raised my hopes high just to destroy them! I feel depressed to see that many are enjoying their purchase while I for some reason didn't get mine, who is to blame??? btw, if someone of the galileoscope team is reading this, you should have provided two options for delivery and let the customer choose one of them: one reliable delivery with extra cost and minimum delay and the bad unreliable no tracking service that you are forcing upon us right now! sorry for the tone but you can feel what I am going through

Hello DarkFalls, I think there's some delay in the delivery to the middle east (I haven;t received mine either). I would recommend that you don't get so upset and keep in mind that this is after all a work done by volunteers. I do know that the Israeli suppliers of MEADE are selling to other middle east countries so you can contact www.cosmos.co.il

Hi again, here is a new update (from last week):
https://www.galileoscope.org/gs/content/update

October 20, 2009

We have now shipped Galileoscopes destined for U.S. addresses through order number 35500 (approximate). Several thousand units are en route to Europe for distribution there. Once they arrive (in 3 to 4 weeks), non-U.S. orders numbered higher than 24941 will be shipped. We apologize for the delay in delivering high-numbered orders outside the U.S.

I have to say, it is not clear on which Galileoscope numbers will be sent to Europe, or when are they expected to be distributed to specific locations.

I do wish to thank Dr. Pompea who replied to another thread I posted here and helped my quite quickly.

Hi amirber! Thank you for your kind reply, i was surprised that you too didn't receive your shipment too, kind of disturbing especially when they say "Orders for delivery outside the United States through order no. 24941 have been shiped", I wonder what is your order number??
btw, I have checked the website http://www.cosmos.co.il/, it strangely says "You do not have permission to access this document. 403 Forbidden"

What I understand is that they were shipped to Europe. I do hope mine will be sent, I originally ordered ~#10,000 but it seems that it was not received so I re-ordered and now at ~#26,000 I might wait a while longer... as for the link, it works fine for me, maybe it's some kind of a political thing. Maybe you can try to enter via Google cache memory. If you don't succeed I could send them your mail address and ask to send you a catalog.

For those keeping track and wondering about deliveries...Galileoscope #37253 arrived at my home in Oregon yesterday! I have an incredibly busy day today and the skies are cloudy all week according to the Weather report, but I will get it assembled this weekend sometime!
