My SkyWatcher AZ3 mount has been working well until recently - I tried tightening the bolt on the altitude axis because I found the tension was a little too loose (i.e. it wouldn't stay in place above a certain angle), but now, everytime I move the scope up/down, then bolt holding the altitude bearing in tension moves with it, meaning it loosens everytime I move it. The mount is pretty much useless at this point because of this.
I'm not sure how I can get the bolt tightened back in the position where it'll hold its tension, yet not move along with the scope. I've applied liberal amounts of WD40 to the bolt, screw and washer. It worked ok for a few minutes, but after swinging the scope up and down a few times, it loosened again.
Any ideas on how I can 'fix' it?

Replace the nut with a same size wingnut. You can tighten the tension by hand. I did this years ago and never have a problem.

Thanks for the tip
I also found a webpage here detailing a few simple tweaks for this mount which I might also do.

Use a flanged lock nut with the nylon insert. This is a nut with a flange on one side like a captured flat washer. The other side is raised with a nylon insert to grip the bolt threads. It's intended to not work loose. Be sure to clean up the WD-40 first.
