hello everyone despite poor seeing, i made this time lapse of sunspot 1029.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BM4xdBYc9OA
it was made at 1 minute intervals from 1850-1915 UT on 25 oct 2009.the clip is looped 4 times and played at 20fps. the plage and fibrils surged and swirled, it was quite fun to watch. i was hoping to capture a flare, but no luck today

Well done - and equally on my Youtube comment Had a look a spot region the morning [Monday] and spot obvious with PST fully detune to equal white-light view
Also nice bright, if small, proms on the west limb - all viewed through double-glazing from within comfort of lounge

Nice job! It is nice to see the higher resolution here in your sequence, as the arch filament system was really active. Right now, the whole area is just brilliant in plage, making it difficult to see much of the arch filament system. One point in nomenclature is again, there is no such thing as "sunspot 1029". Active region 11029 contains at least 18 individual sunspots, and individual sunspots are not usually assigned numbers. Clear skies to you.
