ETX twin ports new
      #3404272 - 10/22/09 02:12 PM

I'm using both ports on my ETX-70 - top port for DSO camera and rear port with lightweight SX Lodestar with grating within as a spectrograph switched via the flip-mirror. Focus, as yet, is not parafocal

Talking to myself again here's a shot from last night of M42 through ETX-70 - on right is the 'normal' view and offset to left is the H-alpha and OIII/Hbeta monochromatic images via the spectral grating Note how detached nebula M43 above M42 seems to have no OIII/Hb emission - only H-alpha. The horizontal streaks are stars that have a complete or continuous spectrum

Here's the trio of Jupiter [orange], Uranus [blue] and Neptune [grey] spectral profiles that shows, in the 'dips', methane in their atmospheres - Uranus and Neptune essentially identical

This is very good work, Nytecam. I'd be interested in learning more about your homebuilt spectrographs.
