hi! has anyone have used the sigma dp-1 digital camera for astropohtography? it seems to have a very big sensor, i assume that's a good thig Optical Sensor Size: 20.7×13.8mm

It's known to be a bit noisy in astrophotography applications.

Because of common-mode signals, where excitation of one layer causes some signal in neighboring layers, there is color noise. This color noise is most noticeable in low light conditions. Thus, the Foveon X3 sensor is not really suited to astronomical use.
