The weekend of October 23-25 and finally the weather and my schedule allowed me to do some deep sky imaging. I didn't have any plans for any specific objects, so I tried to pick stuff I never imaged before. Here's three of them out of a half-dozen different objects I shot with about an hour of exposure each:
The Cocoon Nebula - 17x180 sec @ ISO 1600, SN-8 at F/4, IDAS-LPS, Hutech Canon XS, Atlas EQ-G w/EQMOD
Spiral Galaxy M74 - 20x180 sec @ ISO 1600, SN-8 at F/4, IDAS-LPS, Hutech Canon XS, Atlas EQ-G w/EQMOD.
NGC 1532 - 21x180 sec @ ISO 1600, SN-8 at F/4, IDAS-LPS, Hutech Canon XS, Atlas EQ-G w/EQMOD.
Each of these could have used 3 times the exposure, but I was having more fun "observing" a bunch of different objects with the camera than concentrating on only one object. I can go back and get more exposure for them later, hopefully.

Nice shots Mike, with round stars and even processing. It's a good idea to see what a target looks like in your FOV before devoting time to it, for sure. The two galaxies look promising, but the cocoon looks like it will need a lot more time.

Those are all well done but I agree about NCG 1532 that one would look great with some time devoted.

Nice pics! I agree with everyone else, put a lot of time in on NGC1532. There are even a few nice fuzzies in the background.

Thanks, everyone. Much appreciated.
Well, it looks like the consensus is NGC 1532! I'll have to get this one over several nights. Because of trees, the window to shoot is small with an object this far south. Should be lots of fun. lol
But Agnotio, I'll definitely go back for more on the Cocoon, too. You're right, lots of lots of time for that one. Hopefully I'll get to do it this season.

Hey Dave! Yep, it was nice to get out again and do some imaging.
You know, I wasn't even sure what NGC 1532 looked like before I started shooting it. I had never observed it visually or photographically and didn't remember seeing it on the web, at least at first. I'm sure glad to have "found" such an interesting target that night.
BTW, I did a another processing job on the data with a bit more aggressive noise reduction. Cropped it closer, too. Seems to have helped it, at least to me. Still needs tons of time to perfect it, but I can use this as a base:
