Greetings--
Just purchased a StellarVue 115 Apochromatic
refractor. Anyone out there with this or
a similar instrument?
Would be interested in discussing imaging techniques.

Congrata! It's a great scope - I love mine. I'm strictly visual at this point but you will want to go out to the Stellarvue Yahoo Group and contact Jon Talbot who has done a significant amount imaging with this scope.

Thanks for your reply. Since you're a visual
observer, I'll ask this--
I have the 2" focuser, and 2" eyepieces; is it just me,
or are the 30mm Meade and 14mm TeleVue eyepieces a little
on the large side? (up until now, my experience has been
with standard 1.25" eyepieces/accessories).

I also have a SV115. I have been using it primarily as a visual scope, but plan to use it with my Cannon XSi for imaging.

I've not had any problems thus far with my larger eyepieces and 2" diagonal in the 2" Feather Touch focuser if that is what you are asking. But perhaps I didn't understand your question?

- camera was Canon EOS 5D Mk2 SLR; about a 20 min
exposure
- Telescope is just the SV115T model
