Also, how much does the mount head weigh? It attaches to the tripod head, but you can attach it to a pier plate also. The electronics pier is very light, guess at maybe 3 lbs. Are you thinking of mounting just the head and repackaging the electronics? If so, then you'd just have to mimic the top of the electronics cylinder. Like John said it's like a losmandy.
