After looking at my post yesterday, I knew I could do better.
I totally re-processed the shot, and got MUCH better results.
I also tried out a new Astrophoto tool from Prodigital software called STARSPIKES Pro. It gives you total control over the spikes, so you can make them nice and subtle. I think it really brought this image alive.
Got a start on M1 last week. Only got 6 subs, but it was enough to get a half decent image.
As soon as these !*&%$$#@^ clouds go away and the moon sets I will go grab some more time on it !

Hi Joel Nice shot of M1. I just got my XSi a few weeks ago and now we're probably clouded over for 2 to 3 months!! I have an 8" Meade SCT and I'm dying to try this Rebel out on my scope. Keep posting your shots and I'll look at them with the utmost attention.
