Has anyone done this? I really like the look of this mount, and have an EQ6 Pro tripod that is spare.

Nope, The EZT head is compatible with the CG-5 tripod not the Atlas/EQ-6 model.

I had mine on an AS-GT tripod but the Atlas for sure (not sure about the EQ6 pro - but i would venture to say it's the same as the Atlas) will not work. The threaded rod is a different size.

I am going to take the bolt to the shop and try it. I am actually using the EQ6 tripod as a more sturdy tripod for my SE mount so have a long length of M10 treaded rod being used for that - so the original bolt is lying in a drawer.
It turns out that Ian King sells the mount on an EQ6 tripod - but he is closed till Monday so I can't find out what he has done:

It's both the size of the bolt and the diameter of the inset in the top of the tripod head. I believe that the diameter of the Atlas/EQ-6 inset is smaller than with the CG-5. The EX-T has a stepped edge that fits down into this inset making the whole thing very solid when bolted together.

OK I got the mount - it looks very nice, the only lost mark being for: 1) plastic grips on the bolts, and 2) the fact that they supply a second Vixen style clamp as an extra not included in the price. Paid £219 for it from:
http://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/
which being in London I could go to over lunch.
I have a CG-5 - so tried that tripod and yes that works well. The stepped edge does fit inside the insert with a lot of room to spare.
The insert on the EQ6 Pro tripod is fractionally smaller but still bigger - the bolt is though too big.
I have 2 choices:
1) Souce another CG-5 tripod.
2) Buy a length of threaded rod of the right diameter.
The other interesting thing is that the supplied plate that sits between the head and the WO tripod exactly fits the EQ6 Pro insert (you have to push a little bit to get it to seat) and does sit nicely in the CG-5 insert. For the latter though is lifts the tripod head up a bit making the bolt not long enough. This will not be an issue when using a lenght of threaded rod and the EQ6 Pro tripod.

A length of M10 rod and a couple of nuts and washers cost me £5.
All in all I am quite happy with the final result:

That's good news ... a very nice looking setup. You're going to love the extra stability that tripod provides.
Does that black "supplied plate" come with the new style (2nd generation) EZ-T?
How does the upper section of the EZ-T attach to that plate?
On the first generation (all silver) EZ-Ts the step or inset is machined into the base of the head, there was no extra plate.
Have you ever tried to unthread the lower 1 3/4" section of your EZ-T head?

Yes this is the 2nd generation.
The bottom of the supplied plate seems to fit quite well in both the EQ6 and the CG5 tripod. The insert needs to be deeper for it to fully sit in - but it is deep enough.
The top of the plate itself has an insert and head sits in that.
The bottom section of the head unscrews from the gold ring - the bottom section is really a smaller pillar. The gold ring also has a thread it it center. I did not confirm what thread it is - it was still too small for the EQ6 bolt.
Using this plate does mean that the bolt has to come up a longer distance - so a CG5 would require the bolt to be replaced with a longer threaded rod.
The final mod was a small sleve of metal around the threaded rod where it goes through the eyepiece tray - with out it there is too much play bettween the rod and the tray which made it harder to get the tray to come up nice and true.
I do need to get the second Vixen clamp add on though as all my scopes that vixen style dovetails.
