Hi,
I'm wondering what make and model would be good for someone who would like to try some picture of the moon with my scope. Also if you could also suggest a lense. I would like to try picture of the night sky. And I'm not rich so not something super expensive(could also be used model).
Take in note that I would like to be able to use the camera for everyday use.

Canon XS would be your best choice. With a kit 18-55mm zoom, $499 US, excellent for everday use, kids, travel, holidays etc. Has live view for focusing. I guess your mount doesnt track, so for the moon, 800-1600 iso, spot metering and AV setting for a relatively fast shutter speed.
You'll also need a T adapter to attach the camera to your scope.

I've got an XS and it's a very nice camera. Even advanced astro-photographers seem to be happy with the specs of this camera. It's great for daytime as well.
The lens that comes with it is nice. As a beginner, you may very well find it sufficient for some wide field shots. That said, image quality is based on the quality of your glass. So if you find yourself getting very critical, you may eventually find the need to upgrade the lens. Given the XS has live view, I cannot see you having to upgrade the camera.

I have to agree.The XS is a wonderful cam.I love mine.
If I had to do it over again I would have gone with the XSi because it has 14bit ADC...but for starters,it doesnt matter.
I bought my XS body for $369 on Ebay as a "refurbished" cam.I have purchased 3-4 refurbed models in the last year or so that I modded and passed on for friends,but every single one has worked perfectly and they come with a 90day Canon warranty.
Definately go for a Canon.And if you can swing it go for the XSi(which sells refurbed for ~$460 on Ebay).If not the XS will be just as functional for you.

I agree with Bardo that you need not get a brand-new camera, but I would suggest the next step up from the original Digital Rebel (aka 300D). Cameras even one model newer then the 300D provide you with quite a bit more flexability in remote control abilities if you decide to try shooting fainter things then the moon such as the Milky Way, Nebulas, or Galaxies. I use a Rebel XT myself (aka 350D).
The XS and XSi mentioned above are even better of course (such as LiveView), but if your budget does not allow for one of those then consider looking for a used XT or XTi as a less expensive alternative that will still give you lots of flexibility to try more advanced imaging later on.

I've owned my Canon XS for 2 nights and 1 day now, and I really like it. It's very simple to use and the liveview feature is nice on it. Great for daytime shots for sure. I bought it for doing astrophotography but I have a feeling it's going to be used for a whole lot more. Right now I have no regrets getting it.

Martin, your should look regularly on Ottawa Kijiji (ottawa.kijiji.ca) and search for "Canon EOS" or "Canon DSLR", you may not find one initailly but keep looking every day and someone will post one eventually and boom, your lucky day, and it's local so no shipping. Any Canon EOS DSLR will make for a darn good starter camera. There is also FocusScientific store located at 911 Carling Avenue, ask for Nathan and tell him you are looking for a used Canon EOS - they sometimes have some or know of someone who is selling one.
Make sure it's a DSLR and not SLR... the 'D' stands for digital
