I have fully automated my observatory using the Foster system. Stan is a great guy to deal with, and he will make sure it works. The support is outstanding. The WX monitor works great with ACP, I tested it one night I knew the clouds were coming, and it worked right on que. I found you have to calibrate it about twice a year for the seasonal change in the sky temp. but other than that it just plain works. If you have any questions, PM me and I'll go through the whole system with you. I'm planning on automating my observatory 1 step at a time. First, I'm just going to use the weather system to alert me when it gets cloudy. 2nd, I'll automate the dome rotation. Finally I hope to find a way to automate the shutters. I have a Clear Skys observatory and it doesn't have any pre-canned solutions for rotation or shutters, but I think I can use exploradome's rotation system.
