...one of the only reasons youre going to your friends halloween party is because he lives out in the middle of nowhere and the naked-eye observing will be incredible.

You might be obsessed when you are looking through your 10x50 finder scope doing a long star hop and can name the various 5th, 6th, and 7th magnitude stars you pass by from memory.

you stare at your favorite asterism while driving, marveling that you can actually see it through the tinted windows of your vehicle, and thinking, "I didn't realize this road had this many curves....."

You know you are obsessed when you you look at your sky chart and see 3 dark squares and call up your observing buddies for a star party as this is NJ.

When your niece tells you that she can't wait for New Moon in 20 days. You tell her that New Moon is only 15 days away, on the 17th. She gets all excited because that's even sooner, then is upset with you because she was talking about some movie involving vampires!
