Hi,
this galaxy is not so easy. The look to the first image at the night (10/18) was "whow, what a dusty smoker". At home, I remarked the beauty of this seldom shown galaxy. For luck, the next night was quite clear and I could continue the subs. But at 02.00am clouds came. The image procession was not easy, but I hope, I´d made a good job. Meade 12"ACF, GEG, f-6.5,2000mm, Canon EOS 20 Da (Baader modded), 12 subs up to 9 min., (1 hr 46 min.), autodark, ISO 1600, temp.: +29F. SQM-L: 21,3
Comments are welcome: Bruno

Always nice to see these 'rarities'. Good color and well balanced.

That is one terrific image of this galaxy! I spent several hours on this one a year ago, but didn't get a decent result. Great shot

Hi,
You´d make me happy with your comments. Thank you all. It was true: After the first look I thought: no more image on that nasty galaxy, but the second look opened my eyes for that dark "flower" in the deep space. I do not use "make stars smaller" with astronomy tools. Conditions were changing: absolutly clear to foggy cirrus clouds. Additional it was quite windy.
Let´s hope for some more subs. I´ll try to make CCD-Images with the parallel mounted TAK E200/ST10 next clear and moonless night and combine them with the 20Da subs. But no subs with the ST10 on the main scope cause of blooming of the the bright stars.
Best: Bruno
