I use starmap pro. It's excellent, with tons of features. Only downside I'd say is that it's a bit more 'professional' than some of the others - i.e. "better" perhaps, but also "harder to learn" possibly. There's so many features that it takes a while to learn your way round. Then again, I doubt I'll find something missing any time soon
I also use 'planets', which is free and very basic. It's good though - you can quickly see which planets are visible.
There's the NASA app too, looks good but I've not really used it yet.

Don't forget SkyVoyager from Carina Software! A CN'er helped write this one.
I I have Star Map Pro, also, but I find myself using SkyVoyager more often because the interface is much easier to navigate and the screens are a bit more readable. Star Map Pro organizes their functions into these icon menu groups which gets a little jenky when you are switching functions between groups.
SkyVoyager also has some excellent object descriptions and cross-referenced catalog information included with their database.

Thanks! Moon globe is really good - everything you need for astronomy use, plus plenty more
All that for free is superb. I've given it 5* straight away.

+1 on SkyVoyager! I've been using it for about three months now and really dig it.
