Is a Skywatcher EQ-6 Skyscan a better mount than the AS-CR6-GT ? If so what are the advantages .

The AS-GT mount is a CG-5-class mount. The SkyScan is a CG-6-class mount.

The CG-6 mount is quite a bit bigger than the CG-5. There's no real fair comparison between the two mounts other than that. CG-6 is the CG-5's "big brother" in every way.

They are both produced by Synta, so build quality should be similar.

The Celestron GOTO system works well. I have no experience with Skywatcher's GOTO system.
