IC1805 and NGC1499 in Ha new
      #3421391 - 10/31/09 04:18 AM Attachment (22 downloads)

Hi all,
With the moon out, I decided to give the Astronomik 13nm Ha EOS clip filter a workout. The California Nebula was imaged on Thursday night, and the Heart Nebula was imaged this evening. Thanks for looking.

Very nice and impressive shots! But why show them not in original colour? This must be great, too.

Thank you all for your comments.

Bruno, since this is a Ha image, it is best displayed in monochrome because it is primarily the red channel. I intend to image these two objects again in RGB when the moon won't be a problem and combine it with the Ha data.

Bob, the Heart nebula is a combination of 46 exposures, ISO1600 @ 240 seconds each. The California Nebula is a combination of 19 Exposures, ISO1600 @ 240 seconds each. Processed with ImagesPlus 3.80 and Photoshop CS4.
I used 48 darks, 31 flats, and 30 bias frames.
