nor is it even in their eyepiece calculator spreadsheet
Me wonders if there is something new coming from TV like a wider field zoom ?

It was probably hurting the reputation of the rest of their eyepieces. Maybe they will construct something that is actually better than a run of the mill zoom this time. They need to get the Ethos designer to put some thought into a zoom that starts a 100 degrees 8mm and ends at 82 degrees 22mm. That would be a great eyepiece.

Hi,
If its true that its been withdrawn, I'd not surprised by this, truth be told.
Not just Televue, but I've found pretty much every zoom eyepiece I've tried to be a problem.
If, as just suggested, Televue are preparing another zoom option, I'd be hoping that they do much better.

I really like the 3-6 Nagler zoom. The 8-24 is a terrestial eyepiece for me and one of my least used. It would be great to see 5-10 and 8-16 Nagler zooms.

Does not the Speers Waler zoom achieve similar apparent fields of view?

The Speers Waler zooms II has a wider AFOV - 82deg. compared to the TV 8-24's 40-55deg., but SW only comes in 5-8mm and 8.5-12mm versions.
