ETX-90 Declination Loose (Help!)
      #3424830 - 11/02/09 12:39 AM

Hello all, I finally got my ETX-90EC out of the case after a year hiatus, except I discovered that the tube won't stay up in declination, it just droops down no matter how tight the declination knob is. It was perfectly fine the last time I used it, so it's a bit of a mystery as to how that happened. Is this an easy fix? If I were to do it myself, how would I go about it? Thanks! Allan

Thanks Joe! Sounds like it's a common problem, but not overly involved. Guess I have a little project in store... Cheers, Allan

Also refer to the Mighty ETX web site --- this is a rather common problem with some unique "bolt" fixes on this web site:

http://www.weasner.com/etx/techtips/etx_90_dec.html Search around for DEC FIX
