And here it is in Wall-E mode.
It now fits one back seat of the car (and nothing more) or just a tiny corner of the trunk. That was the design criterion (I made no other concessions or designed for weight reduction alone --and some things like the bearings are decidely overbuilt-- but it still ended up just 29kg with shroud, trusses and everything).

UTA baffling (and UTA connectors).
Sonce then, the knurled knobs have been replaced by M6 quick release clamps from bike saddle clamps.

Mirror cell out of 20x30mm Alu square tubing, with 15x15mm turbing cantilevers for 6 point cell (support points are nylon bolt heads; they're very frictionless, so much so that traveling by car means the mirror invariably ends up in a different rotation.)
