Source for Belden 8777 cable? new
      #3424416 - 11/01/09 08:04 PM

Does anyone know where I can get about 6 feet of Belden 8777 or similar cable? Other similar cables that I know of are:Omni 32203 or Honeywell/Genesis 1266. Here is a description from the data sheet:

22 AWG stranded (7x30) tinned copper conductors, polypropylene insulation, twisted pairs individually Beldfoil® Shielded (100% coverage), 22 AWG stranded tinned copper drain wire, PVC jacket.

I can find it rolls of 100 feet and greater, but I only need about 6 feet.

Thanks, Doug

Is there a very specific use for this cable that requires it to be close to Belden 8777?

If its just general use you could get away with some Category 5 networking cable which is 24 AWG, twisted pairs.

Steve

This cable is used for audio and control systems. Try some where that sells and installs commercial radio systems or a radio/tv station. Try and talk to a technician. They are usually more likely to help you out.
