A Spare Crescent new
      #3424241 - 11/01/09 06:18 PM

I had a few more sets of data from last weekend that I'm only now getting around to processing. One is M27, which is still not done, and another is the Crescent Nebula, which I managed to get to this weekend. Each of these sets was just extra data that I took while waiting for other objects.

The data on the Crescent turned out to be relatively clean for just an hour of exposure, so I stretched it a bit to see how it would look:

The Crescent Nebula - 21x180 sec @ ISO 1600, SN-8, MPCC, IDAS-LPS, Hutech Canon XS, Atlas EQ-G w/EQMOD.

Thanks for looking. Hope ya'll like it.

Ya that is a really good Crecent , hard to pull detail out of a dim target like that.

Very nice Crescent shot, especially without a narrowband H-alpha filter.

Thanks guys.

Yep, only an hour of exposure. Bank in '07 I did 3 times as much exposure with my modified Canon 350XT and it didn't come out much better than this.
