The spring winds in Wellington have prevented any imaging for more than 4 weeks, but I managed to get about 15 minutes of clear/calm weather yesterday evening and brought out the 12" dob w/alt-az tracking to catch Jupiter while it was still high in the sky. Although seeing wasn't the best, there's still some reasonable detail to be seen, and Callisto's transit was nice to catch.
500 frames per channel at f/25, 100% size, captured with DMK21 USB camera with Orion RGB filters. Comments and suggestions are most welcome!

Hi Freddy. No resampling used. This is a quick process I managed to do (we've just had our second child so I don't have much time to play around with settings right now ). I realize the image is a bit noisy and I hope that when I get a bit more time I can coax some more detail from the source AVIs.

You have taken some great images. By the way what brand and type of DOB do you have?Did you by the tracking with the Dob or is it aftermarket?

Thanks for the kind words - it's been frustrating with the weather here, so it was nice to finally catch a break with reasonable seeing.
To answer the question about the type of Dob I have, it's a Skywatcher 12" auto-tracking Flextube Dob. It came with an alt-az tracking mount, with a tracking hand controller (level the tube North, turn on power, and the scope tracks from there). I also have a GoTo hand controller for the scope.
While it tracks pretty well, there is quite a lot of free play in the axes, which means that the target can move off frame in the slightest gust of wind. I've toyed with mounting the tube on my EQ6 Pro mount but I think it would stress the mount a bit much.
I'd appreciate some advice about that - if the tube of the 12" is too much for an EQ6 Pro mount, do you think I'd get better solar system imaging on that mount from a C11 or from a 10" Newtonian tube mounted on the EQ6 Pro? I already have a Televue NP127is so I'm not worried about long exposure imaging with the Dob or C11; I just want to get the setup that has the most potential for solar system imaging on the EQ6 Pro mount.
Thanks for any advice!
