when you guys talking about the payload, is it include everything on top of the mount (OTA, diagonals, eyepieces, focusers, finder/guide scope).

Yes, the 'weight' will be everything on top of the mount.

Regarding the C8 weight, Astronomics lists the weight at 13 lbs also.

I was planning to do some short exposure APs with my DSLR for fun, but I'm just a little bit worried after reading comments about CG-5 payload. I don't know what should I do right now, am I going to be ok? any advice would be helpful.

Try it and see how things work out for you. The WO72ED should be a fine scope for that mount for AP. You can always get a lighter weight guide scope or try imaging with just the smaller refractor. You can use the C8 for visual work or as the guide scope.

A quick qestion...what is the diameter of the hole in the counterweight for the CG5-GT?

Thanks

Does the CG5-GT also have the Allstar polar alignment routine the CGEM has? I am debating between the 2, and would be really happy to a) save the money over the CGEM and b) save the weight of carrying the CGEM around.

If you have an upgradable hand controller (running any firmware at 4.x) the CG5 can use exactly the same firmware as the CGEM/CGE/CGEpro. So any of the discussions about All Star Polar Alignment or any of the other features mentioned in the threads here apply to the CG-5.

Except the HC firmware knows that you're using a CGEM / CGE and gives you PEC capability. That option is not available with the CG5. There may be other options but for the most part the AllStar alignment routine is the same....

Yeah, that's a good point. I should have added something like that you get the same s/w functions within the capabilities of the hardware. For example on the CG-5 with no fixed index point on the RA axis means that the PEC routine has no reference point to start and synchronize from.

There are a few other hardware specific characteristics of the other mounts (like the limit switches on the CGE) so while the HC firmware is indeed exactly the same there are physical characteristics that effect the overall function of each type of mount.
