Taken this morning at 3:25am with my C11, 2.5x powermate, DMK21, RGB filters. 90sec avis, 60fps R,G & 30fps B. Best 800 frames stacked with Registax. Seeing was 3/5 under hazy full moon. Polar cap & Syrtis Major easily visible. My first Mars of the season, DIA=8.0". I made the mistake of staying up to image the red planet, instead of waking up early...

Great work Steve. I like everything about it. Color, amount of processing etc. Looks real good.

Joel, thanks! Your excellent Mars images inspired me to finally get out there again. I spent too much time micro collimating my secondary only to have it fog up and had to get the hair dryer. I tried 3x & 5x barlows but the noise was overwhelming. Mars is not easy to focus on, I was constantly tweaking up and down

Excellent image. The detail is great for 8 arcseconds.

Same data but after RGB combining, I pulled out the L and recombined with R, then created an "L"RGB version. The result shows better contrast and less blur.

Very nice, Steve. You've processed those images beautifully.
The colour is very natural and you've been very true to the detail.
Well done!

Thanks guys! I may have a few rogue frames in the stack that are causing the edge blur. If I can clear some hard drive space, I will pre-align with ninox and re-try
