Be aware that the dark site will also make that dob shine even brighter... Take both scopes so you can use the little one for wide field viewing and the big one for everything else...

Yes, I will plan on spending more time at dark sites.

However we are in the cloudy/rainy season here on Vancouver Island, so the number of clear days that happen to fall when the moon isn't up will be rare.

I happen to kinda like my Z66Ed myself. small? yep. Mighty though. A tad smaller than my first real scope (A3" F/10 newt), but the views are so much sharper. I'm gonna try it my eq-2 that came with the spaceprobe, or maybe the LXD next.
