Three Amateur Astronomers Killed
      #3428628 - 11/04/09 03:29 AM

Not sure if this is an appropriate forum to post so mods if you find it offensive please move it. Sorry.

There female amateur astronomers were killed this week in North Dakota while they were out observing.

Here is the complete tragic story.

Tragic indeed. Something about the incident does not seem right.

I didn't realize they were out stargazing when that happened. Very sad story.

And maybe a wakeup call for the rest of us who may have cause to drive in the dark in unfamiliar territory at times.

Tragic story, but it's a stretch from what I understand to call these girls amateur astronomers. Alot of people star gaze occasionally, but that doesn't make them amateur astronomers by MOST people's definition.
