Latest ISS image with Progress M-67 new
      #3426903 - 11/03/09 06:42 AM Attachment (11 downloads)

subject: 2009/09/19 ISS observations
____________________________________________________

I'm a bit behind in processing, but this is my latest ISS observation. We see the Progress 34 (M-67)
docked at the aft end of the Russian Zvezda module. First I thought I would miss this Progress which
docked July 29 and undocked Sept 21. The image is taken 2 days before undocking, which means
I captured now 3 Progress supply ships in a row over the last time (P32, P33 and P34).

The image is also taken 2 days after docking of the new Japanese supply ship HTV-1, which is
mounted on the Earth facing side. It's visibility is difficult therefore, but you can recognise it at
the marked position. The HTV-1 leaved the station recently, Oct. 30 and de-orbited and crashed
into the Pacific Ocean on Nov. 1.

We also were lucky with the lighting angle in this capture to have a nice view on the Quest Airlock,
place for astronauts to leave and enter the station for an EVA.

Finally, the Japanese Exposed Facility(JEF) shows good detail. It's mounted on the
Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) or mostly called Kibo.

Imagery: 10inch Newtonian, manually tracked using 6x magnification on the tracking scope.
14 frames taken in good seeing were combined for this capture.

Wow - I am impressed. I would love to be able to capture the ISS with my scope but no luck so far - these are great!
