Here's the Garnet Star Nebula on Elite Chrome 200, +2 pushed. The exposure was about 12 minutes with a 135mm lens working at F/2.5 on a Canon A2.
Larger HERE.
Thanks for looking.

That's a lot of detail for just 12 minutes. Sharpless 2-129 is hanging in there to. These are both much fainter than the clouds of Cygnus. Great job.
Canon A2, Wow, I remember looking into getting one of those in the early 80's. Great camera, still.
Oops, I'm thinking A-1.

Excellent widefield shot. It looks liek you've captured dark nebulae surrounding IC1396.

Thanks, guys.
Jim - I think I'd rather have an A-1, its build is much nicer, but for $20 including a remote switch, the A2 was an offer I couldn't refuse. It really eats through batteries though, especially on chilly nights.

That must be one nice lens! I don't see any purple stars, and it looks great to the edges.

Indeed, the 135mm f/2L is a very nice piece of glass.

Great shot, but what is really impressive to me is the Guinness used in developing. To me, this is the most under rated "developer" in existence. I found this elixer - developer back when I traveled often to England starting in the late 60's.
Jim may recall our discussions with the waitress regarding Guinness when I was in Maine not long ago? Keep those frames coming Brandon, as it helps to get me through this NO Astronomy whatever weather condition. Well that, and a pint of developer.

I read somewhere you can develop B&W film in coffee, so I decided I'd experiment with other solutions for color. Just make sure all your chemistry is clearly labeled.

Yea, she was a soucy Irish girl. Igor gave her a hard time about the non-availability of Guinness. This provided endless entertainment during our meal. I'll never forget it.
Cheers,
Jim
