Help in Identifying this older observing chair
      #3430796 - 11/05/09 10:51 AM

I picked up this observing chair from a fellow club member about a year ago and though I have a different chair, I do use this as a grab and go because it lays completely flat and I find in outreach because it fits into holes that aren't going anywhere. Good and fun chair though a little heavy being made out of steel.

I'm going to paint it but before I do just wondering if anyone knows what make and/or model it is?

Here are some pictures:

I tried looking all over google for yellow observing chairs, etc. in the images and web. No luck, Jay, sorry

Thanks Ron. I tried to, guess next time I see the club member I'll ask him. It's a nice chair though, the seat needs some cushioning and I need to figure out how to do that.

Yeah, I'm sure he'll know. As for cushioning, I'm not sure how exactly to approach it. Umm.... Maybe you can just get some soft cotton and use those special upholstery staples to get some sort of fabric onto the chair? Is the black part of the seat metal or plastic or rubberish...? I don't think it'll be to difficult

BTW I'm Kipp... Ron Burgundy is just my favorite character in the Anchorman movie...

I like that chair. Looks nice. As I am searching for it though I have come across a few chairs people may be interested in so I am going to post links to them....

$59.99 from Sky Mall

Same as last just second source

$24.98 Adjustable stool

Nice chair but $106 is a little expensive..

There seems to be a few musician chairs on the web that are like this. Do a search for 'Adjustable musician stool' to see more. Quik-lok makes alot of different chairs but they all appear to start at around $100.

Another nice stool

Cello chairs. They look very familiar.

Another chair

That's a decent collection of chairs I think.

Unfortunately, I was not able to find your chair though. If anybody comes across it let us know...

My specs:

WHITE. It MUST be WHITE.
LOW. MUST GO LOW - four or five inches off ground.
Splayed or T bar bottoms: REQUIRED, so it doesn't sink into soft mud or grass.
SlIDING Adjustment. The step adjustment where you pull it out and reinsert is a pain.
FOLDS FLAT. So I can pack it up without removing the seat.

Finding a chair that meets ALL of these criteria has eluded me.

Is the white for more visibility, Greg?
