Autoguider for Vixen GP Mount ? ? ? new
      #342213 - 02/13/05 11:01 AM

Does anyone know if an SBIG type autoguider (ST4 for example) can be used with the Vixen GP mount, and if so how exactly would it connect to it?

Thanks

SBIG's web site mentions that Norbert Tackman will modify the Vixen DD-1 controller to work with an autoguider.

Here's a fellow that's had it done:

The SkySensor 2000 also has an autoguider port, if you want to go that route.

If using the Sky Sensor I believe you have to use a modified cable for connecting to a SBIG autoguider. I think I read that you can either make the cable yourself or have SBIG make it for you.
