Conditions similar to yesterday - seeing perhaps a bit steadier.
The disc remains fairly quiet but there are signs which may be an active area starting to develop. Unfortunately it's on the extreme western limb so will rotate out of sight in the next day or so.
 2009 Nov 04, 1209 UT, 60mm @ f/16, Lunt B1200 CaK diagonal
 2009 Nov 04, 1200 UT, Solarscope 60 @ f/16
The prominence groups reported yesterday remain active. The group on the NW limb is less tall but the bright component is exceptionally bright:
2009 Nov 04, 1156 UT, Solarscope 60 @ f/16 The group on the SE limb is bigger than yesterday but remains faint:
 2009 Nov 04, 1157 UT, Solarscope 60 @ f/16
There are a number of other very faint prominences all round the western limb and in the south east quadrant. If anyone has really transparent sky they should be a wonderful sight!

Good to see some UK sun. I like the sputtering Ha spot on the limb very much.

Four hours later (around 11AM U.S. Eastern Standfard Time) the southermnost spike in your photo had brightened considerably relative to the adjacent more diffuse activity.
The pictures from Europe are very much appreciated here - both for the beauty of your captures (this applies to a whole group of you over there) but also as a preview of what we should look for.
Thank you all for them.

That's at the mercy of the cloud gods ... looks like I may be lucky again today, though there's lots of showery type cloud around and a fierce wind blowing.

I WISH!
That shot wasn't mine. I was just recopying Brian's original shot so the forum would know which prom I was talking about. BTW: I use YOUR sketches too (which you always post early) to help me decide whether to observe or do chores. They are great.
