An easy catch . From Avior. Last days ,finally, clear skies. Ok, a very good night on Rio means mag 4 . Even 3.
Despite that Carina is gentle to urban observers and have a real nice show case. This is one of it. As i see from my apartament window.

It is a real pleasure to see all those "southern" sketches from Rio. Most of the objects I don't know at all! Keep them coming please.

What a great rendering of NGC 2516. Thanks for sharing! I enjoy your observations and sketches because, as Jef said, they feature objects some of us here in the northern hemisphere can't view.

I also notice that you use a 70mm refractor from an urban area. I live in light polluted South Florida and use a 77mm refractor. My south skies are the brightest, but I'll need to try for some "deep south" objects, since I'm far enough south that even Crux skips above my southern horizon.

Nuncius,

This may be the only way I get to see the Southern skies. Very nice work, Thanks.
