Im am getting nowhere with trying to get the SKY 6 to talk to Orchestrate in Vista and now in upgraded Win7 Pro (can't get the XP mode as my compaq doesn't have virtualisation). User Access Control is Turned off (have tried it on also).
When I make a script in The Sky6 then open Orchestrate and try to make a connection to the Sky I get the following error message -
"error connecting to the sky address family not supported by protocal family error code 10047 0x273f"
It all worked fine on XP. Does anybody know how to overcome this?
I sincerely thank you in advance.
Regards
Peter

Hi CCS thanks indeed for the reply. yep done that changed under properties / compatibility to run as administrator still same error message, in fact when I boot up looks like I am the administrator account. Tried also to run under windows compatibilty XP sp2 &3 and same message above.
Are you running Sky6 & Orchestrate successfully - ie able to connect in orchestrate to the sky 6?
I am seriously wondering if anyone successfully runs orchestrate/Sky6 under vista(and now Win7)other than in XP, as i have had no confirming posts on several sites and have another friend with exactly same issue.

Peter,
Another idea: In Control Panel -> Network Connections (pick the one you are using: Local Area Connection or Wireless) Under Networkign Tab, uncheck TCP/IPv6
If you see some strange LSP (shim) drivers, please list them.

Hi ccs_hello,
Thanks again. I have my issues now resolved. I installed Win7 Pro and had exactly the same issue with Vista, that Orchestrate would not connect to the Sky6. Found through Software Bisque (these guys are just fantastic in following up any issues)that in Orchestrates preferences you have a meneu with Client, TheSky, Telescope and Camera - Orchestrate needs an internal computer ip to be able to talk with the Sky6 under Vista and Win7. With some help of guys on the Ice In Space site was able to just type in the local host 127.0.0.1 in the client section and presto everything works ok.
Thanks again for answering my post.
Peter
