Well between being away from the scope for 2 months and having less than perfect weather when I wasn't... I haven't had a chance to do much imaging lately. But the clouds broke and I had a chance to get reacquainted with the sky (not to mention my equipment)some.
Here is a shot of Clavius from 10-28-09. Taken at prime focus on my 10"SCT using the DFK31AU3. 2 minutes of AVI using Y800/Y800 at 30fps with 1/60 shutter speed, stacked with AVIStack. Image scale at capture was about 0.39arcsec/pixel.
I guess it might be time for a new computer. It took the laptop 2 days to crunch the image.
Seeing tonight is supposed to be stellar (sorry for the pun, couldn't resist). And it's not a school night! So hopefully I'll be able to grab some more.
Enjoy. Cheers Tim

Yeah, I had that problem the first few times I tried Avistack ... the trick is to pull the "minimum distance" slider all the way to the right. Saves an awful lot of processing time & doesn't seem to affect the quality of the final image noticeably.
