This morning while driving to work. It was very bright, probably mag -4 or -5, about 20 degree arc across sky. This was easily visible to me and my passenger, while driving down the highway. It was at an hour when the sky was lighting up just before sunrise, so it was a bright one.

Due to persistent clouds I have only seen a few of these over the years. Here is a nice link to meteor showers. http://www.imo.net/calendar/2009#sta

saw a good one myself the other night. It was the first time I've seen one when it wasn't dark out. It was just after 7pm and the sky was still blue above and orange in the west. The meteor had no trail, but looked like Sirius falling from the sky for about three seconds, from about fifty degrees up straight down to about 10-degrees above the horizon. I've wondered just how bright it would've been had it been full dark, and whether I would've seen a trail at that point.
Glad you saw a nice bright one.
