I think I am becoming the world's authority on imaging through clouds.
I saw some blue sky yesterday afternoon, so in my excitement, I went out to image something, anything. I chose what I thought would be a bright planetary so that I could get more frames as the moon rose. Turns out this thing is a low surface brightness extended planetary. I anticipated starting at 8pm, but it as it rose, it traced a track right through my tallest tree and I didn't get started till 8:45 and by 10:00, the moon was starting to wash everything out and the "thin" clouds were so thick that it looked foggy when you looked up.
So, I got 7x10mins on this very nice planetary in Cetus. Typical conditions for me lately, but at least I got out. Maybe some day soon, I'll get a whole night.
I left it full frame, well, because I like it that way.

Nice Hunter! Yes, a bright planetary this is not. You did well to capture and process the data.

Thanks for looking, everybody. This is one of those objects that just screams for more aperture and probably more integration time. I am not sure more time would have helped in these particular circumstance (seeing conditions), but I sure would have liked a shot at this one with about 20" of glass!
