NGC185 Lum only new

This small galaxy in Cassiopeia has a black eye-kinda-thing going on, similar to M64. But it's much further away and smaller so you don't see the effect too much.

This image though doesn't do it justice as it's only a pair of 5-Min lum shots combined & processed. Other images however such as this one don't really show much more detail on this object.

Nice picture, although the reason it's so dim is because it's a local group dwarf galaxy.
It's actually 8.5 times closer to us than M64 (~2 million ly vs 17).

Definitely interesting both visually and photographically. It's one of the few local group dwarfs I know of to show rather significant detail (or, in fact, any detail at all).

Nice! This is one of my favorites. If I recall right it's a satellite of M31.
