yup, from this am. I got 44G of shots of Mars and Saturn and it will take me some time to find the best one. I think I might try to tweak a bit more on the sharpening, but it is close to my optimal routine, so I don't think it'll get much better. Here's what I used on Mars:
Mars RED GREEN BLUE
Exp 1/80s 1/60s 1/30s
FPS 60fps 60fps 30fps
Gain 838 838 878
PostProcessing WB 1.00 0.80 0.60
NOTE: Using values of 1 and less keeps from overexposing/blowing out
Yup, I wrote them in a spreadsheet 'cause I'm so easily confused!
Also, I've got to up my focal lenght to keep these exposures down! 1/80s in red at 60fps fills up the drive too quick. The Mars shots were 2min per channel! Some Saturn's were 5min per LRGB, yup, 20min monster caps! 44Gig indeed!

If you could split out the RGB when you are done I'd appreciate it. Mitch imaged at about the same exact time you did, and it looks like he picked up some clouds along the morning limb and s. polar region. I don't -think- they are artifacts, but I can't see any indications of them at all in your image. What do you think? I'm perplexed.

I can certainly see the dust in Hellas that is kicking up in your image. I caught it too. Look at your blue image on the morning terminator and how bright it is in red and green. DUST!!!

Hhahah! Don't know if my secret has been told here or not, but I'm looking into a custom newt with one of Royce's conical mirrors. Still in the early phases, but I'd like either the 12.5" or the 14.5" Really a cost/weight factor. My CGE needs to stay under 65lbs...

Go for it Mike, will the 14.5 be too much for the CGE?  If you get a big scope you have to get a new cam too!!

Fantastic Mars image Mike! Good job.
Yes a Royce newt would put you in the planet killer class. His optics are world class. And a conical mirror will cool down a lot faster than a standard mirror. I'd still have a fan behind it though. That would be a dream telescope for any one of us!

That is an awesome image Mike. The colors are good and processing does not look overdone. Looks like the same cloud/dust feature in yours that I thought was an artifact when I captured it.
