hi
im looking at the possibility of buying the 4 lens lenscell, and fit it to my sw 150mm f/8 scope, and do necessary adjustments to the OTA to make it fit.
have anyone tried the lenscell, how do they measure compared to other high quality lenscells?
are there any readymade flanges to make it fit my OTA?

Hi Alfi,
You could use the original tube but I would build another tube assembly for the new lens/cell. You could then sell on your original scope to offset the cost.
If you need a tube/cell adapter Ales at Istar would make you what you need.
I'm still in the process of building so I've not been able to test the 6"f/10 Achromat. The 6" ED looks very interesting.

you are right, i have come to this to, i will build my own, if i take the plunge, and start building.
im checking out companys that do powdercoating/paint nearby here now, to see what it would cost me, and someone to make the focuser adapter.

hi
i have written Ales and ordered the lenscell and countercell now, have also ordered a baader steeltrack 3" focuser and adaptor.
im looking into who can make the flange between the focuser and the tube, and also getting prices on powdercoating and anodicing of the tube and the flange.
looking forward to this, will take pictures, and write some build descripions underways.
