Attached is a close-up version an ISS observation done in September. To give an indication of
proportions of size I have inserted a NASA image of an astronaut at the Quest Joint Airlock,
one of the elements visible in the picture. (For clarity; during my capture there was no
astronaut outside).

However, you can find an image of a spacewalking astronaut on my website:

Image: 10inch Newtonian, manually tracked using a 6x magnifying trackingscope,
composite of 14 frames taken in good seeing)

I have marked 2 more elements visible in the image. The KU-band dish antenna
is visible on the port side of the Z1 truss. Also the ESP-2 (External Stowage Platform)
can be seen under the Quest Airlock.

We are going to have to remind the astronauts to smile while they are on their spacewalks! Very impressive detail Ralf. You keep raising the bar on ISS imaging. Keep it up!

Thanks again Derek. I enjoy that you all enjoy the images. The photographer himself is a critical one and never satisfied, better better better.....but it keeps me running.

wow...Is there a tutorial on ISS imaging? I tried today, I can say I over exposed some places and I tracked it manually which was a nightmare inside an automated dome.

I have a C14 and a DMK, @f10 I got many frames but with so much movement...I wonder how you guys track it, it is so difficult

Hi Gustavo,
Thanks for your reply. This is actually a question of experience. Do not use too large focal lengths in the beginning but build it up. Also, try to learn out of previous sessions to correct exposuretime and other settings.

Ralf
