Jupiter, reprocess using ninox, what do you think?
      #3434989 - 11/07/09 04:49 PM

This image is 576 frames stacked from 10 short .avi's (Bump and shoot method before I got my tracking platform completed). Image was taken at F/22 according to Bird's calculation method. Image is from September, although not sure what date.

I notice that the moon on the left is more defined as a disk vs. a fuzzy spot (like in the original), which I attribute directly to using ninox. To Bird, I have to say thank you for such a complete, exquisite program.

I can't do deconvolution on my images until I get my Desktop back, long story.

Anyway, opinions? Tips? Feel free to reprocess the image if you are bored.

XT10, ToUcam @ 10fps, 10- 7 sec .avi files, virtualdub/ninox/Registaxv5

Great result, try to resample, might help.

For what respects to your bump and shoot method
I have to say 'my hat's off for you'!
Great result, this will only improve now that you
have your platform tracking!
Eventhough I wans't bored, I did do some fiddling with
your image, hope you like it.

Here's my deconvolution. However, I noticed something peculiar. If you chance the contrast of this image to 1-to-0, as opposed to 255-to-0, two 'frames' appear, one on Jupiter and one in the upper left corner. Where is this coming from? I know this artifact will have an impact on the application of most deconvolution methods since the image no longer 'spatially invariant', i.e. the blur is no longer consistent across the image. Best to apply the deconvolution before these frames appear.

Jim, I normally will take the image and center it in MS paint via cutting in out and then moving it, then just filling in the blank area with black. I'll post the original

Hence the very square frames. That makes sense.

Yes, exactly. Do you think that you could do a deconvolution run on the last image I just posted? Split to RGB first, deconvolute each and then recombine?

Wow, I'm asking a lot aren't I?

No problem, my program by nature does the three colors separately.

Jim, thank you. It looks to me like there is possibly more data in there than what can be had via grabbing the image off the forum, i.e. if I could do it on the raw data. I'm very excited at the finer details that have popped up in your rework, mainly the festoons in the EB. I will have to give a try on the raw data.

Thanks a million!
