This prominence did some morphing in appearance compared to the images earlier today from Europe... this afternoon it looked like a Yeti stalking the solar limb! Some nice views for a while today... hope to post a few more.

Hi Alan....most excellent image. Invertering the surface image so that the filament appears light on dark, certainly strengthens its relationship with your Yeti. A very cool idea.

Yesterday was a cross-quarter day, halfway between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice. Perhaps your Yeti appearance is another sign of the cold and dark of the season.
